INFORMATION FOR OUR NEW CLIENTS
Successful treatment options in veterinary medicine include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and immunotherapy. We offer your pet his or her own customized treatment plan that focuses on your pet's quality of life.
Please call to ask about our availability.

We are not in a position to provide phone consultation services to any persons other than licensed veterinarians. If you wish to acquire information regarding your pet's diagnosis prior to making an appointment with Dr. Meleo, phone consultation services are available; please seek additional information about this from your pet's primary veterinarian.

Please inform us of all veterinarians that have seen your pet, so we can have the most complete picture of your pet's health. Once we have scheduled an initial consultation for you, we will contact your referring veterinarians' offices and request that copies of all pertinent records be sent to us.
Please do not feed your pet the day of your initial consultation appointment. (In the event that diagnostics or imaging procedures are appropriate, or procedures that require sedation or anesthesia are recommended, we will need your pet's stomach to be empty in order to proceed.)
Please check-in 15 minutes early.

During this consultation, you can expect to be given information that will help you understand your pet's diagnosis and treatment options. This is the right time to ask any questions you may have, and we encourage you to take notes. If, after discussion with Dr. Meleo, you decide to pursue treatment for your pet, we will schedule your pet's first chemotherapy or radiation appointment. If chemotherapy is appropriate, treatment is often initiated the very same day.
IMPORTANT:
If your pet has previously been diagnosed with diabetes, please inform our staff. We will likely have you proceed with your pet's normal feeding schedule.
It is likely that all of your pet's medications should be administered as directed; if you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to ask.
Please also inform us if your pet has any known allergies, and please feel free to bring your pet's own hypoallergenic or favorite treats.
