Dear Dr. Meleo,

I wanted to write and thank you for helping me. My doctor reports I'm cancer-free, no sign of the sinus tumor, more than two years after my treatment. I have a little damage from the radiation, and my eyebrow didn't grow back, but everyone says it's an edgy new look for me. I'm enjoying my retirement here, and these people seem to think of me as an inspiration and a treasure. I'm grateful for every day and still going strong--OK, strongish--I'm sixteen for crying out loud. Anyway, I know you've been wanting to hear from us and, again, thanks so very much from Claudia and Ron and me.

"Mollie" MCT 11 mos. survivor
"This was her last hunt, November 15th 2010. Thank you for all your efforts that helped her have a full and active year from diagnosis."

Diagnosed with lymphoma at 10 years old, "Mac" fought bravely and lived to celebrate his 12th birthday.

"Boris" was diagnosed with lymphoma at 10 and almost lived to celebrate his 15th birthday, even moving to Portland & back-a true survivor.

She survived 2/12 years and was considered a blessing by all who knew her.

"Whiskey" (pictured above) received chemotherapy back in 2001 after a diagnosis of splenic lymphoma. She also celebrated her 13th birthday.

"We are very appreciative of the extra couple of years that we all enjoyed as a result of the DNA treatment [melanoma vaccine]. Hopefully this will help other beloved pets, like Tex, in the future. From a humble "motel stray puppy" in Canyon, Texas to seniors' therapy dog, and wonderful family pet, he [almost lived to be 14]."

Sasha's Mom has established her own photography business Yellow Mutt Pet Photography. 10% of all product purchases will be donated to the Veterinary Cancer Society in memory of all dogs and cats whose lives are cut short by cancer.
